The Winslow Classic Run is an established motoring event for classic cars held annually and organised by the Rotary Club of Winslow. All the profits go to charity: last year's event raised over £3,000.
It is a non competitive event using tulip diagrams to navigate a route carefully chosen for you to enjoy driving your classic vehicle. Each year has a completely new route plotted by a skilled team of experienced classic car drivers.
The event starts at a location close to Winslow, where entrants sign on to collect their routebook and enjoy bacon baps and coffee whilst viewing the wonderful selection of cars waiting for their starting slot.
Marshals organise cars to start at the times booked by age of vehicle (owners can request start times with friends) and then safely away onto the road.
Navigators use the easy to follow routebook with simple 'tulip' directions which guide them along some great driving roads and through picturesque villages. Magnificent views across open countryside reward all entrants on the route which is carefully chosen to give a variety of road types, all typical of the way driving used to be when your classic was built.
The routebook contains descriptions of places of interest on the route along with information on (tried and tested!) places of refreshment along the way.
